I attended the monthly Morningside community meeting last night. It’s the first in-person one I’ve been to.
Detroit’s Mayor, Mike Duggan, showed up to listen to and address concerns from the community. I was surprised he made the time, but apparently he tries to make most of the community meetings throughout the city. Impressive.

The community clearly cares about their neighborhood, and the city also seems to care a great deal about improving. It was cool to see and feel the energy, something you just can’t capture over a Zoom call (the way Morningside has been doing their meetings the past year).
Being there further cemented my position that Detroit can’t be stopped, and communities like Morningside, with such active neighborhood associations, will be the biggest beneficiaries.
Time to buy more houses!
